Insight Global's fee principle is just one thing: 'predictability'. For Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), the core of entering the Korean market, we fix the amount in advance through stage-by-stage fixed-fee packages. For other services whose scope varies greatly from case to case, we first grasp the details through a free consultation and then propose an individual quote.

We provide the entire process of entering Korea - from FDI notification to company incorporation to initial tax and labor setup - as a single fixed-fee package. Investors can select only the stages they need, and higher packages have a cumulative structure that includes all items of the lower packages.

PACKAGE 1 · STARTER · FDI Notification (from KRW 3 million, VAT excluded)

For those who: have already finalized their incorporation plan or are handling incorporation themselves, and wish to delegate only the notification procedure.

• Preliminary simplified review of the investment type (equity investment, new company, branch/liaison office, etc.)
• Agency service for Foreign Investment Notification (bank or KOTRA Invest Korea)
• Advisory on Foreign Exchange Transactions Act (FX Act) regulations and investment remittance procedures
• Guidance on capital payment and balance certification procedures

PACKAGE 2 · ESSENTIAL · Incorporation (from KRW 6 million, VAT excluded, government fees and out-of-pocket costs separate)

For those who: wish to establish a new corporation in Korea and commence business. In addition to all STARTER items:

• Drafting and authentication of the articles of incorporation, advisory on shareholder composition and governance design
• Dedicated handling of incorporation registration for a stock company or limited company
• Foreign-Invested Company registration (FIC) and issuance of the registration certificate
• Corporate seal registration and completion of registration, application for business registration with the tax office
• Acquisition notification for the four major insurances and administrative guidance for the early opening stage

PACKAGE 3 · STANDARD · Tax Setup (from KRW 9 million, VAT excluded, government fees and out-of-pocket costs separate)

For those who: wish to manage tax risks in advance immediately after incorporation. In addition to all ESSENTIAL items:

• Building the accounting and tax framework (designing the structure for withholding tax, corporate tax, and VAT)
• Connection with a tax agent (bookkeeping) and arrangement of the initial filing schedule
• Basic diagnosis of withholding, transfer pricing (TP), and permanent establishment (PE) risks
• Guidance on the taxation structure and tax-treaty application for home-country remittance and dividends
• Liaison with partner accounting and tax firms

PACKAGE 4 · PREMIUM · Labor Setup (from KRW 12 million, VAT excluded, government fees and out-of-pocket costs separate)

For those who: are a foreign company hiring staff and entering full-scale operation. In addition to all STANDARD items:

• Drafting and revising employment contracts and English-language work rules
• Practical setup of HR/payroll systems and the four major insurances
• Provision of a Korean labor law compliance checklist
• Advisory on visas and residence status for foreign staff (immigration team)
• English-language initial consulting

The items below are government/agency payments or third-party out-of-pocket costs, billed separately from the fixed fee and varying by case (common to ESSENTIAL upward).

• Registration license tax and local education tax: approximately 0.48% of capital (tripled to approximately 1.44% when established within the overconcentration control region of the metropolitan area)
• Registration application fees, and out-of-pocket costs for certificates such as registration certificates and corporate seal certificates
• Articles authentication fee: mandatory when capital is KRW 1 billion or more
• Corporate seal production cost, and bank fees related to capital balance certification and remittance
• Translation, notarization, and apostille costs for documents issued abroad
• Business registration: no government fee (free)

• Free initial consultation and preliminary diagnosis of the investment structure
• Assignment of a dedicated PM (project manager) - supervised by a lawyer
• Real-time sharing of an English-language progress page based on Notion
• Possible linkage to annual advisory after incorporation (Annual Retainer, KRW 500,000-1,000,000 per month)

For services other than Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), costs vary greatly depending on the content, scope, and difficulty of the case. Therefore, rather than uniformly presenting a fixed price, we accurately grasp the case through a free consultation and then propose a reasonable individual quote. The following are general criteria for cost estimation; the exact amount is finalized in a proposal after consultation.

The fixed fees in this guide are example amounts based on typical cases. The fee may be increased depending on the size of capital, the composition of shareholders and officers, industry-specific licensing, foreign document requirements, and so on, and the exact quote is finalized in an individual proposal after the initial consultation.
